The Gedney Family has a maritime history of boat building,  service in the US Navy and boating that goes back to the 1600's up to the present.  It includes construction of an America's Cup defender, the first shipyard in New England,  defense of the United States at sea,  historic naval adventures and on land and sea,  some misadventures on land and a whole lot of fishing.
